Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar Kicks Off Its 2016 Crawfish Boil Season

It’s baaaack: Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar’s ever-popular, annually sold-out Crawfish Boils begin their 6th season in the nation’s capital. Crawfish are flown up fresh from Louisiana (NEVER FROZEN) the morning of each boil and every event is paired with a different microbrewery.

Only 50 spots are available for each boil in order to ensure the best possible experience. Each event is an all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-drink affair in the tradition of its backyard-party origins, starting at 2:30 PM and running until all food and drink are finished.

Details in preparation extend to the careful selection of craft beers paired with each event.

Tickets go from $48-$53 and are available here:

Each brewery presents one high octane brew and as well as a lighter option. Reps/owners from each will be on hand for their perspective dates. This year’s line-up is as follows:

April 30th, JAILBREAK BREWING $48
Belgian-style dark ale Van Dammit (9.1%) and the wheat beer Feed the Monkey
* Van Dammit won a gold medal at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival

May 21st, FLYING DOG (3 Beers) $53

The Truth (8.7%) aged 30 days w/ mango & tangerine zest; Double Dog (11.5%) aged 30 days w/ sweetened ginger, habanero, & pineapple; and Uno, their newest lager
* Mark Thorpe of Little Miss Whiskey's will travel to the brewery to make the firkins a month before the event

June 4th, DOGFISH HEAD (4 Beers) $53
120 MINUTE IPA (18.5%), 60 Minute IPA (6%), 90 Minute IPA (9%), and the Belgian-style wit Namaste

* Extremely rare opportunity for a “vertical” experience of Dogfish Head’s legendary IPA series
